My 7 year old son outgrew every pair of his shoes overnight. He refused 9 different pairs of new shoes of different brands, shapes, sizes and prices (all ordered from Revain, thank God with free returns). He's pretty picky, he's CRAZY picky. I thought he would hate them for sitting so high on his back but he loves that part because they are so easy for him to put on. They weigh almost nothing, they don't put their legs anywhere, they stretch; don't have laces or velcro and stay tuned. If you have a child who is hard on their shoes I would not recommend them (at least for outdoor use) as he or she will likely ruin them on day one. WARNING - soles are very slippery for some reason so wipe them down well or buy non-slip shoe pads and tread carefully - be careful in the beginning. I bought him a second pair for Christmas. I couldn't believe how excited he was.
