I've been using it for a while and it cleans my contact lenses really well. Very happy with it. I tried using a rechargeable AAA battery, then the included AAA alkaline and disposable ones worked much better. AAA Energizer disposable lithium batteries are what you need. Warnings: I recommend opening up the unit and applying dielectric grease to the points where the wires enter the battery compartment and to the battery's spring terminals. Design: I'm optimistic about the design of this product, they did a good job of applying a conformal coating to the electronic circuit boards to prevent liquid issues. There is a separate area for the battery compartment. I added an additional conformal coating and dielectric grease to the screws (stainless?) around the battery compartment/spring clips and knob. Overall it looks good because a lot of design work has gone into it. They strive to prevent corrosion problems.
