We got this for our fairly normal size who is about 11 years old and although it does fit a little oversize (as expected it's definitely wearable and has become part of the regular rotation for many) . First, the fabric is very comfortable. It's soft and doesn't feel overly synthetic and seems to hold up well after multiple washes without pilling. Second, it's definitely heavier in terms of weight (especially for this style). The weather here has gotten a little colder but not enough for a thick coat and this kit fills that gap. For under $30, this is a very solid buy.
