Review on Enhance Precision and Efficiency with ProsKit 900 015 Helping Hands Soldering Tool by Sri Mims

I bought this to solder audio cables. The positioning and ergonomics are pretty silly, requiring two hands to adjust hand position. never mind The alligator clips are quite small so they cannot easily grab the audio cable. They're fairly strong, which is good, but the teeth will actually cut through the outer wire insulation on two-wire (or more) wire bundles. Damn. Well suited for single wire work as the insulation on single wires is much stiffer and will withstand sharp barbs. A better design would be to use alligator clips, the teeth of which bite but aren't sharp enough to cut through the outer insulation. Usual version and with larger non-cutting alligator clips this would be very useful and handy for soldering audio cables. Actually I tried to solder some speaker wires. This setup was too small. I just wish his description was clearer in terms of the tiny size. And that it is not suitable for audio applications.
