Soft and lightweight, suitable for paper
I hand embroidered a seaweed beach bag with this and it is the easiest raffia to embroider. It is much softer than seaweed or natural raffia. It's not stiff enough to weave into a basket/bag, but it's perfect for dying reeds, rope, grass, etc. I don't like crocheted raffia because it's not very flexible, but it's easier this way. stuff if that's what you do. The colors are vibrant and will not fade or bleed when wet.
