Review on πŸ”Œ Dumble 12V RV Vent Fan Motor Replacement - Powerful and Efficient D-Shaft Motor for RVs and Campers by Marcelo Apriando

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The installation took longer than it should.

*Tip: If you are replacing the original fan motor in your van or trailer, consider purchasing the included fan blades. The new motor has a slightly thicker HALF MOON shaft and my original was just a small round hole so I had to buy a fan blade after receiving the motor. Motor: It's a bit bigger than my original so I had to drill a bigger hole for the main shaft and drill 2 new holes for the mounting bolts. But most importantly, the kit does NOT include any mounting screws. And the roughly tapped holes were larger than my old machine screws. It pissed me off because it took me 15 minutes to drive to the nearest hardware store and 20 minutes to rummage through boxes of screws to find the right size. All of these things combined, it turned what seemed a simple job into a pain in the ass that I didn't expect and didn't really have time for. The new engine broke down in the first minute of handling. I had to find some electrical connectors that would fit onto the pin spatula on the back of the motor rather than soldering it back on which they should have done in the first place and that's how it was with the old one. said it's a bit bigger and looks well built (apart from a broken solder joint on the back). And it's definitely stronger than my old one.
