Review on Gingher G TNKE Knife Thread Nippers by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hippies stole my ferret

My mom used gingher scissors for all her sewing at home and most of the classes and shops I worked at had at least a few pairs. a brand that I know and can trust for its good quality and reliability. I bought these upholstery shears out of town after leaving mine at home. After a month of very hard work with heavy duty leather, Sunbrella canvas and various other fabrics I am still able to cut the corners of the clear panel and it slides like day one. They are strong, strong as a rock, and well stitched. They fit comfortably in my large hands with a smooth surface that I can grip but don't get irritated after a full day of use. I've had trouble sharpening this mark in the past. They come out of the box like a razor and will last well with good care. But after the first sharpening, they will never hold the blade the same as before. Other more expensive brands have not given me this problem. But I give them all five stars because for the price they really can't be beat. They've been around for a long time for a reason.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

It takes a minute to get the hang of them, but they're the best snips made
