Review on Ultimate Style and Durability: Timberland Men's Milled Leather Black Shoes by Daniel Mind

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Nice belt, great price.

Update March 7, 2019: I wear the belt about once a week (maybe a little less) and it's holding up really well. First Post My first impression is that this is a good ratchet strap. value (I just got it). First I measured the width of the strap and it is exactly 40mm as stated in the description. Second, I started poking and examining the inner (invisible) end with a knife. As far as I could tell, it's a solid piece of leather, not some kind of "glued leather" (which means some weird combination of leather and plastic). I tested this specifically because of a recent bad experience with a leather strap coming off. My original plan was to use it as a work belt. And lest I drive you crazy like some other (well intentioned, I'm sure) reviewers have driven me crazy, I'll tell you that my "work" is an office environment. I'm wearing trousers (Brooks Brothers Model 1818 trousers) and a button-down shirt. Basically a pair of suit trousers without a jacket and tie. This belt might be too casual for a formal suit, but I felt it looked appropriate enough for a business (formal) outfit. I think everything looks fine. However, the belt was too wide for my dress pants. It just goes through the loops with no extra space. So it didn't work for me as I wanted. I'm not deducting a single star in my rating as the width of the straps was exactly as described. I use this belt now for my jeans (Levi 501s). I checked the belt loop attachment and it fits with enough slack. This belt goes very well with jeans. Looks good enough to look more stylish than jeans but I can't tell you if it will fit in the belt loops between jeans and dress pants (or Brooks Brothers 1818 pants) as I don't have pants between jeans and dress pants (I am not a supporter of khaki). The buckle is simple and discreet, which I like. The quality looks and feels good. The belt has 5 holes. I wear pants with a 31-33 inch waist and the opening the belt uses is one thinner than average. So, I would say the sizing is pretty good, maybe a little tighter than expected (which worked for me). Considering the price and quality I would say this belt is excellent value for money. I wish I could have found an equally good price in a smaller (smaller) dress belt, but I can't fault the belt for not being what I wanted. It was just as advertised and is very nice. I'll try to remember to update this review after using it for about 6 months. If it holds up well, it gets all 5 stars.
