I love this tool! - Power Tools & Hand Tools

Yes I LOVE this tool along with other Arbortech tools I have, Arbortech Turbo Plane and Arbortech Mini Turbo Plane. I live in the redwood forests of Northern California and I work with whatever wood I can find. This type of woodworking is more about shaping wood than furniture and work that involves flat surfaces. Before finding these three tools, I spent over $200 on four or five pads for my 6-inch random orbit sander, as well as about $40 on sanding jobs. Washers when (a) chair is made from a single piece of mahogany, as shown in my first two photos below. The same job could be done with the $145 Arbortech Turbo Airplane and this $100 Arbortech Contour. Random Sander along with much lower grinding wheel cost. So, I've been using my turbo plane and my mini turbo plane for about two years now and still haven't sharpened the blades. The Arbortech Turbo Plane along with this Arbortech Contour Random Sander, which costs about $250, will literally save you a whopping $100 over the years these tools will last. Then there are three photos of the bowl. done with Arbortech Turbo Plane and Arbortech Contour Sander I don't know of any other tools that can do this type of job and certainly not as good as these tools that were made for THIS job. Upgraded with a teflon insert to attach the disc with a screw instead of the glued discs that came with the original grinder when I bought it. This update complements this product. Discs (glued to pads) no longer fly off prematurely. Bottom Line: No other tools can do what these tools can (as far as I know) without spending maybe many hundreds of dollars even on a project, and many more projects will follow after the tools pay off. Thanks Arbortech,
