I installed these on my 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a Firestik HD spring and Teraflex taillight mount on the driver's side. With the setup above, the antenna extends a foot above my top, which is exactly what I wanted, but if you want your top to be flush, with a spring mount for the taillight, I'd say you get a 36- Get a customs antenna. My daily commute to work is 1 hour one way at 70 km/h. I had no problem with this antenna spinning and hitting my rear window.
