🔥 FL4-R FireStik FireFly Antenna - 4ft Tuneable Tip (Red) Review

Arrived on time and as advertised not my first purchase of this product from a great company. I highly recommend it as it works well and offers clear transmission and reception. I use it every day.

Product as advertised but the packaging left a lot to be desired. The bubble wrap was all torn and the tip was torn open and just thrown in the box. All parts were present but the original packaging looks like it has been opened and closed many times. In general, the product corresponds to that declared.

I installed these on my 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a Firestik HD spring and Teraflex taillight mount on the driver's side. With the setup above, the antenna extends a foot above my top, which is exactly what I wanted, but if you want your top to be flush, with a spring mount for the taillight, I'd say you get a 36- Get a customs antenna. My daily commute to work is 1 hour one way at 70 km/h. I had no problem with this antenna spinning and hitting my rear window.

Installed on the spare tire carrier on my '08 Jeep Rubicon. Setup was easy and I was able to get an SWR of around 1.2. I spoke to my brother about 3 miles from here which I'm happy with. The red antenna looks great on my red jeep. Only sticks out about 2 feet above the top but seems to work fine and I can get into the garage by lightly touching the garage door frame (my jeep is 3 inches taller). Simple, reliable and adjustable. Of course, my SWR on channel 40 was high, so I had to adjust the length of the antenna. As a result, I had to remove the o-ring, lock nut, set screw and tip. With all this, the antenna was not short enough. So I had to take a hacksaw to cut the antenna (about the thickness of a set screw) and then use a saber saw to make the cut.
