Simple, reliable and adjustable. Of course, my SWR on channel 40 was high, so I had to adjust the length of the antenna. As a result, I had to remove the o-ring, lock nut, set screw and tip. With all this, the antenna was not short enough. So I had to take a hacksaw to cut the antenna (about the thickness of a set screw) and then use a saber saw to make the cut. Perfect SWR reading afterwards. If you are experiencing something similar to my situation, watch the YouTube video: How to shorten an overly long Firestik antenna by cutting it.
