Review on πŸ”₯ Premium Clear Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Case with Heatsink - Perfect Access to All Ports by iUniker by Steven Pankey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't think you'll find a better case in this price range

Looks like it was designed for the Pi 3 B+ because you don't have one it needs to be modified to mount the Pi and once properly installed all ports are accessible with the case. I have two Pis and bought one of these cases first to see if I liked it. After receiving and using it, I bought another one for my second Pi. No instructions are provided, but it's pretty easy to figure out how to set it up. As others have said the tabs on the side can be tricky - I have not broken any tabs on any of my cases. Just remember that you don't have to force anything to take the top off or put it back on. If you look closely at the tabs, you can see that when you gently press on the top of the case, the corresponding tab on the bottom of the case releases. Just repeat this for all 4 tabs. Before putting the top on, make sure the Pi is inserted into the base and screwed in properly. When assembling, guide the plate into place, noting the holes for the tabs. Also, as mentioned, the SD card slot is a bit tricky to access, but you can remove and reinsert the SD card while the Pi is in the case. The plastic of the case is really quite thick - at least 1/16 inch on mine. Sure, that's why I see the LED on the Pi. I have all the screws and rubber feet. I also got two heatsinks, but I didn't install them (the case seems to have a lot of ventilation holes) - I'm waiting to see if the Pi doesn't overheat, and if it does, I'll put them in. It was well packaged with small zip bags for parts and plastic to protect the case during shipping (I kept the heatsinks in their small zip bag for possible future use).

Pros
  • Made from ABS plastic that snaps around the Raspberry Pi
Cons
  • Available in white only
