I have to admit that I am still getting used to this article and I am getting used to it. I think the female voice might be a mistake; she is very stubborn and insists on herself. For example, she wanted to turn onto the road half a mile ahead of me, and when I didn't, she insisted on going another half mile. It's funny to hear her mispronouncing street names. Many of them are Spanish. I tried it out on a trip to Pierce, Arizona. She wanted to take a route that would put me 30 miles out of the way. She couldn't find a shortcut. When I chose a different route, she kept trying to redirect me to her original route. She kept telling me to turn into a ranch with locked gates and roads that don't actually pass. She doesn't seem to know the address of my house or church when I type it. I live in a village, you guessed it, which has a lot of dirt roads. She prefers the freeway, hence the long drive to the pier. The shortest route involved 30 miles of dirt road. The road I was on was paved, but recently paved and is not a highway; this is a country road. The roads a half mile north and south of my house are paved. My street was recently paved. Mind you, she wants freeways first, US highways second, federal highways and paved roads third. She doesn't like dirt roads. She would take me two miles off my 1 mile trail to use the paved roads and avoid the road she felt was muddy. 18 months ago a friend came from England and insisted on coming via GPS. The system put them on the same paved road as my system. The road to return down floods 4 feet in summer. She actually swam part of the way and was scared. However, the system is easy to use and the voice can be adjusted to be loud enough to be heard over the stereo system. It also glows well in the Arizona sun. The maps are good. Just be sure to double check your itinerary so you don't get carried away. The suction cup system won't stay on my dashboard. I tried attaching the system to the windshield but it didn't stay there either; Apparently the curvature is too big.
