Ordered 2 days ago and here it is, pretty fast. Yes, that's real - Aprilaire 413 at a pretty good price. I had just installed a new oven and decided on an Aprilaire 2410 filter unit. I felt the difference immediately. I took an old ultra-high BTU, ultra-low efficiency oven and didn't use outside air. The air in my room was hot, dry, and full of recycled, burned house dust. No kids or pets but I had a dry nose and a dry cough every morning. This device has made a huge difference and I'm really excited about it. My 2410 came with a #410 filter which as I said is great and after reading the literature I saw that the #413 filter which is even better would also fit. Specifications on Aprilaire's website state that the 413 captures more viruses and bacteria than the 410, also the 413 performs better than the 410 in three main areas: 0.3-1 micron virus, 1-3 micron dust and 3- 10 microns. pollen/mould. In any case, #410 is 4 inches deep and #413 is 6 inches deep, which is a case where bigger is better, so I went with #413. The only downside I could think of is that if you forget to replace a very dirty 6 inch oven filter, you'll seriously choke and overload your oven. Small house, no pets, and my air conditioner isn't hooked up to the furnace ducts, so I plan to change the filter once a year instead of the recommended 6 months.
