I have always bought Hill's Science Diet dog food for my dog and he just loved every food. However, as he gets older and loses his usual large appetite, I have to find ways to get him to eat. I've alternated the flavors of his Hill brand wet food to mix it with the pellets, but he still refuses to eat (even wet food) at times. I even cooked homemade meals for him and it worked for a while. I finally tried Nutro Hearty Stew and I can say he really liked it. He ate anything I mixed with his regular dry food. I rarely switch brands because with a sensitive stomach he doesn't take well to food changes, especially as he gets older (>12yrs). I am glad that everything is fine with Nutro and most importantly it increases his appetite. If you have an older dog, you will understand how difficult it is sometimes to get them to eat.
