First, it is NOT HOLOGRAPHIC - holographic means it reflects all the colors of the rainbow in direct light; This tray is the so-called iridescent unicorn skin, which changes color only a few shades and has a duochrome look. This gold glows green-orange-pink-blue. THIS IS NOT A REAL GOLO. Look, this iridescent dragon skin duochrome metal dice tray is awesome, but whoever designed it did NOT consider the fact that you need to account for stretch when placing fabric over something that needs to be folded. The tray is flat, one side in gold green pink metallic, the other in black velvet. But as mentioned in other reviews, once you sew the corners together to make a tray into a tray, the dragon skin will rip right at the creases down from the seams. Well I've looked at a lot of dice trays and this one was my favorite because of my aesthetic and it looks great with my gold metal dice but unfortunately I have to put up with tiny tears on the dragon's skin. . For $10 I'm fine with that, but I hope it doesn't break over time; that is my biggest concern. Otherwise super soft velvet, great for metal dice rolling, nice big surface and the envy of my party. ✨
