I liked this particular pourer because it's dishwasher safe. I also love that I can pour it into my Marsala bottle with one hand while using it in the kitchen. The only sharp edges are on the top of the spout itself and you don't need to touch it when inserting. It also goes well with a bottle of New York sherry. I use both wines to deglaze French onion and mushroom soups. The seal fits my bottle snugly (see video) and for the person who asked, can you store open wine on the side with this thing? If you're just storing it that way to save space, this spout should be just what you need. Before storage I wiped the top of the bottle dry along with this filling. Although I usually store my wines upright.
