I really wanted to like this water bottle. CamelBak products are generally very good. The build quality of this bottle is excellent. I like how it feels in my hands. The insulation keeps the liquid cool for a long time. Washing in the dishwasher is no problem. What is the problem then? The lid makes this product virtually unusable. Instead of the typical spout or straw system, CambelBak opted for a drink-through system. I didn't understand what that meant until I received this product. Basically, you twist the cap to reveal a small hidden opening, and when you tilt the bottle to drink, the water pours out. However, the hole is not visible and the markings on the bottle are difficult to see. Water leaks out, but is spread over most of the lid. It's drinkable, but I found I couldn't drink from this bottle without making an uncomfortable slurping noise. Alternatively, I figured I could just unscrew the cap to drink, but I don't like tossing this bottle in my purse because it's so hard to see if it's open or closed. Overall I am very disappointed and the cap is probably particularly outrageous considering the high price of this bottle.
