Not much better than the built in camera

I bought three cameras: Logitech Brio, Anker C300 and Razor Kiyo Pro to compare. I only compared the video, not the microphone. Neither camera offers a significant improvement over the MacBook's built-in camera, which isn't a good place to start. (Nothing beats the iPhone or iPad Pro/Air cameras.) Let's start with the good: Anker's image sharpness and low-light capabilities are the best of any camera. It's the only camera that also works with a USB2 port, meaning you can use a cheap USB-C charging cable as an extension cable. The cameras have the widest field of view, which can be fine if you want to cover a conference room but is useless in a private office setting. Since the camera only uses 2-megapixel sensors (like the Razor), changing the field of view reduces the resolution. essentially 720p, no better than the built-in camera. I had no problems with the software, Facetime or Zoom. A slight flickering of the LED is noticeable, which can improve in later firmware updates. The color reproduction is subjectively on DSLR level, with the Razor and Brio falling far behind. Is Anker a buy recommendation? If you don't have a built-in camera, this is good and profitable. If you already have a built-in camera and work in a dark room or at night, absolutely. Apart from that good. I still gave it a 4 for the use cases described.
