Is it a stunning, perfect performance? No not at all. But as an inexpensive secondary display for a laptop, it's perfect. I work from home a lot and my small laptop screen didn't allow me to connect to the large dual monitor display I have on my desktop. I needed something fairly inexpensive, yet pleasing to the eye when programming for work. I bought it along with the VESA adapter and mount because I like to set up additional displays in portrait mode and the included stand doesn't. The color and resolution seem to be pretty good. The tail light is nice. There's a bit of light around my edges, but I use it in a fully lit room during the day so it doesn't get in the way. I would wish the place you place the VESA adapter or stand was more central as the monitor wobbles a bit even on the arm it is placed on. Otherwise, it's a solid monitor considering I only paid $100 for it. If you're looking for a trendy display for watching HD movies and gaming, this might not be it. However, if you need a second or third monitor for surfing the web, writing code, or basic stuff, this is a good choice.
