1. The screws securing the fan blades were too long. With the blades installed, the engine could not rotate. Shorter screws were required.2. The blades of the knives rubbed against the motor housing and made a grinding noise.3. When finally installed, the headlights worked and the engine just hummed and wouldn't turn. I followed the very limited troubleshooting instructions from the manufacturer's manual and website. When I tried to restart the fan it sparked and burst. Dead. I received a new fan directly from Hunter under warranty. Hope it gets better. So I regret that I bought a fan made in China. I trusted Hunter's name.
