A few years ago we passed our 1998 Jeep TJ Sport to our son as his first car. What a great choice - had a great time. One of our winter projects was to remove, clean, sand and repaint the faded fender flares, a job that took a little longer than we anticipated. It turned out that many of the fender flare bolts and locks were completely welded together and the only way we could remove them was by cutting them off or reinserting them through the body sheet metal wall. Once we did that, however, we needed to replace the fender flares and that's where this kit came in handy. during a breakdown. We were able to clean the flares, sand them lightly, paint them with the recommended Krylon paint (Krylon 2421 Fusion Spray Paint, Satin Black) and then reinstall the flares with this kit. If you need them for a similar task, we highly recommend them.
