This is my second winter of using them on a 2008 Toyota Prius (FWD). We'd already weathered a few storms with several feet of snow at Lake Tahoe, and we had a chain of command on I-80. I haven't hit any terrain my car can't handle with these tracks. I drove through 3 inches of snow with minimal traction control on the car. Instead of buying an AWD/4WD car, I can still drive a Toyota Prius and just put those chains on when the snow turns bad. It takes me a maximum of 10 minutes to put it on, and it usually takes a little longer to take it off because so much snow gets into the wheel housing and I have to clean it. I combine them with Michelin X-ICE 3 on all 4 tires and it's a great combination.
