I've undergone a lot of abdominal surgery in recent years. My torso looks like a war zone. I'm in danger of developing a hernia if I'm not careful when lifting things or actively twisting around (if you get my meaning and I think you do). My doctor recommended wearing a compression shirt for such activities. The ones I've tried before did the job, but weren't particularly comfortable, and look more like a cheap girdle than an undershirt. This one beats them all. It looks like pro athletic gear, is snug but not suffocating, and (so far) holds my battle-worn abdomen safely together.Getting into it takes practice, though. The fit is rather tight (as you'd expect) and entails more than a bit of a struggle. The tiny metal hooks used to close the wrap-around section in the middle require patience (and pair of reading glasses) to fasten properly. Allow a few extra minutes for this if you're in a hurry. My favorite feature: The inside bottom edge is equipped with non-slip rubbery strips that prevent the shirt from riding up your waist as you move around. What a difference this makes!Recommended to anyone who needs extra abdominal support. Bonus: You'll look ten pounds thinner.
