even cooler than in the photo!

Firstly I'm not sure what other reviews and Q&A mean by "just a small hole to put artificial fish/water in". The top cover is detachable, which makes it easy to fill with water and place artificial fish. You can easily add craft rocks or aquarium rocks and decorations to your fish tank. Haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how well the tank works with anything else; I'll update as soon as I get a chance to try. Anyway, I just opened the box and put everything together about ten minutes ago. Among the fish were two turtles, four small fish and 6 common fish; The small fish were in the shape of a clownfish (like Finding Nemo), regular sized fish like an angelfish, or something like Dory from Finding Nemo. Tank made of light and transparent acrylic. The coral reef image easily sticks to the outside of the aquarium. The controls let you choose between different light colors, each looking very cool, and one of the lighting settings will cycle through the available colors. Fish and turtles move in circles around the tank, although they often break the pattern to "rush" to the bottom or through the tank - they don't congregate at the top but run all the way through the tank. The tails of the fish are articulated but do not move; The fish themselves occasionally wiggle, but their tails don't, and what's more, the movement is quite realistic. I can't understand how this thing manages to change the movement of the fish like it does with the flow of water. The aquarium is calm; no noise. Didn't even hear the fish smack against the side of the tank (although to be honest I have a fan running right now). This is a really cool looking fake aquarium and well worth the price - I first tried building one myself and when I paid the same amount of fish, a decent tank and lighting it's cheaper and easier to just buy it . I bought this to keep my cats entertained but for now people are more amused and entertained while cats ignore it - for now. As I said, I'll update this review as soon as I get a chance to add some simple decorations to my tank to see how it works. Edit, about an hour later: two of my cats discovered this and are enchanted by it. Once the water is full the tank gets pretty heavy and my kittens can't move it, but I still recommend putting it against a wall or shelf so the cats don't knock it over.
