The stitching is unreliable / came with a hole
Will not protect against bed bugs if the cover has a hole! As you can see the hole is due to the stitching around the velcro compartment not being done neatly. This brand has gotten sloppy and sells compromised products, does not protect your mattress from or trap bed bugs in it. 3 stars because it's still waterproof.
