I read a lot of reviews before buying and was a little nervous that others said it was hot and melted in the dryer. But now I can confirm my bed is warmer and my dryer has melted. It's still half wet but at the same time half melted/clumped together. I really like this product but it's terrible.

Will not protect against bed bugs if the cover has a hole! As you can see the hole is due to the stitching around the velcro compartment not being done neatly. This brand has gotten sloppy and sells compromised products, does not protect your mattress from or trap bed bugs in it. 3 stars because it's still waterproof.

Item arrived quickly. It easily fits my bed with a queen size pillow as advertised. It doesn't hold air. As another reviewer pointed out, it has a plastic layer. I also found it a little deceptive. I notice that my bed gets hotter with it. It may be coincidence but sleeping on it makes me hot and sweaty and as someone who likes it cooler I'm not a fan of it.

Bought 3 months ago, washed cold once and air dried, placed on a new double mattress. My child had an accident last night that wet the side of the waterproof mattress pad that was on top of the mattress pad. I was hoping that this mattress topper would save the mattress in cases like this, but moisture seeped through the seam. The mattress is less damp than without the protection, but this protection did not work as expected and I ordered a different brand.

Don't buy it. The second one I bought. Followed the washing instructions through T. This and the first washed in warm water and cooked as instructed and the "plastic" bit "melted together" on the sides. After the separation, some material came loose, so I don't think the big barrier will work anymore. We bought this for our king size mattress about 2 years ago. It still works great! Having children makes it difficult to stay clean. Literally during the night I threw up 5 times. The case held up great! I just wiped down the cover and put new sheets on it (5 times in one night). This thing saved our mattress!
