Review on Lippert 335852 Straptek Tension Technology by Matthew Oumer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They are easy to assemble

These are the best prerequisites for the correct tensioning of the spring bars of the weight distribution coupling. I have replaced my original pull ups that came with the Blue Ox WD clutch I own with these. They're easy to install, work better than I ever thought possible, and with them I don't have to jack the trailer up again after I've attached it to the truck hitch. Lower the trailer onto the hitch ball and once the hitch is lowered far enough to engage, connect the StrapTeks to the spring bars and tension as needed. I will say the new ones come with a "J" hook on the end of the strap and to me this is a much more preferred arrangement compared to the old style shown in the photos. I give 5 stars and am completely satisfied with the StrapTek system. A small hint. Before installing them, re-attach your trailer using the lifting devices that came with your WD hitch. This serves two purposes. You can measure the distance between the spring bars and the trailer frame to determine the correct tension on the spring bars and then when you install them you will know exactly how much to pull them up to get exactly the same tension on the spring bars . 2. Reuse your old system. Then wear these. You get a consistent comparison of how much easier they are. You can thank me later! :)
