First of all this is a nice chair and for its intended purpose it is exactly what you need. It's easy to assemble and looks great. Now the problem. This is the second chair of the same model that I have bought from Toscana. The first lasted 2 years, but I wanted to benefit from it much more. The legs attach to the wood mount with socket head screws and washers and everything looks solid when put together. The problem is that over time the hex bolts will loosen, stressing the wood mounts and eventually breaking the mounts, which are made of very soft (not hard) wood. If you can't consistently tighten the Allen screws, this wood cracking problem will render the chair unusable. I suggest using lock washers or harder wood. I tried to buy other stools like this but they are not as nice as this one. So buy them if you like them, but beware of the design issues.
