I chose this product to replace using a loofah in the shower. It exfoliates my skin well, the bristles are a bit tough but fine on my sensitive skin in the winter. I like that it can be cleaned and it is more hygienic than a loofah. However, it does not lather as much as other similar products I have seen. have to use more soap to get it to lather. It does lather up better if you squirt some soap on the bristles and rub it around in your hands for a bit.
