Review on Sabrent Rocket Internal Performance SB ROCKET 1TB by Sergey Chodavarapu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

OK, first thoughts. Wow . And they keep going.

So a few things, I bought this to upgrade my m.2 SSD (Samsung OEM) 512GB which was in my Razer 2017 14" 4k byte size map in comparison to the default of 512 bytes.. This means you CANNOT DIRECTLY CLON a HDD UNLESS IT'S ALSO A 4K DISK I saw this post and should have read it more carefully, but of course I "knew". better.... saved me a 48 hour headache. Does that mean you can't move your stuff? No, it just means it takes a little more work. I had to map my existing drive to an external drive (USB) and create a bootable Windows PE with imaging software, mount a new disk, boot into Windows PE, and then restore the image from the image file. If you do this, it will run smoothly (although it may take a LONG time will take). indity tests so far phenomenal. .P arbitrarily boots faster in Windows, DEFINITELY boots faster in Division 2. Transferring es files seems faster, and encoding is definitely probably 2x faster. Overall VERY happy with my purchase but as I said. it takes a bit of work. Now we all have to switch to this style anyway, so I think I've proven myself going forward for now. Makes everyone happy

Pros
  • All Sabrent SSDs come with FREE Sabrent Acronis True Image for Sabrent software for easy cloning. For those who need a specific sector size for cloning existing SSDs, the recently released Sabrent utility allows users to reformat a Rocket drive and select the sector size of their choice: 512 bytes or 4KB.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
