I investigated the cause of the deformation. Apparently the infrared grill goes up to 700 degrees. Most likely, the reason for this was a very high temperature. I guess I'll have to look for a pan that has a specified temperature range of 700. My scope also has a low IR setting. Steaks brown very well at high temperatures. First review below. I cooked a steak in an LG electric oven. In this oven I used the infrared speed roasting mode. He grills the steak like a grill. The pan deforms quickly. The steak took up half the surface of the pan. There was no noticeable spatter. After use, I wiped it down with a paper towel and then left it in the sink for an hour. I then put both parts in the dishwasher. Came out clean. I will use it as long as possible.
