I've been doing some post-sale research on third-party Wii U Pro controllers and this brand has popped up alongside an official Nintendo product quite a few times. It appears to be just as well built as the Wii U gamepad itself, which is rather thin, light and "hollow". The crosspiece is a bit soft and doesn't appear to be. quite high above the controller's body, making a game like Shovel Night a bit more difficult than using a classic Wii controller with a great D-Pad. Analog sticks and input buttons are fine. I'm glad I didn't spend that much money on it, it works if you need a different controller. I wouldn't recommend this being your only controller.
