I have several KZ/CCA headphones and love them all but most of them have mids too big in the mix and mid bass is a bit cloudy in the mids. . This is not the case with the CCA C12, which has a W-shaped frequency response with a mid-range that matches the bass and treble in magnitude, and offers greater resolution in the mids, where most of the detail resides. They pair particularly well with Fedai's silver-plated 16-conductor cable, which pushes the mids even further, with improved stereo separation and lower noise when driven from a 2.5mm Qudelix 5K balanced output. If you like exciting, energetic, powerful music at a very reasonable price, this is the setup.
