My EVO4 setup -> This adapter -> BOSE 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable -> BOSE QC35II headphones. The problem I see is that the jack doesn't make full contact with the headphone wire, resulting in a bunch of hissing and the audio is often mono-channel. I have to twist the cable at a certain angle to get a good sound and usually make a couple of adjustments to keep the cable at that angle. While it sounds good now, it actually creates a lot of noise that is present in the recorded audio (and can be heard by people in a web meeting). The BOSE cable also makes good contact with the extension jack, so I work around this issue. Since I was planning to use it with an extension cord, I didn't bother replacing/returning the outlet, but I'd like to share my experience. Update 10/14: To keep it looking nice I bought another right angle adapter (link below) and there didn't seem to be a contact issue so I just issued a refund.
