Not compatible with TRRS

, I bought this to use with an IEM kit in a desktop headphone amp that requires a 1/4 inch jack. For this specific purpose, they work well. Fits snugly on both ends for a secure connection. The profile is rather low and doesn't stretch the base too much. Unfortunately, this adapter is not compatible with TRRS. This means that you cannot use headphones when the built-in microphone is connected. Something is grounded in the adapter preventing a proper call from getting clean access. So now I'm…

So frustrated, I prepared to replace my Sennheiser cans, which I've had for 20 years and are perfectly fine, with a new pair, just for the smaller nest size. This adapter is another level of quality. Sound…

Does not work well with original BOSE 3.5-2.5mm cable

My EVO4 setup -> This adapter -> BOSE 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable -> BOSE QC35II headphones. The problem I see is that the jack doesn't make full contact with the headphone wire, resulting in a bunch of hissing and the audio is often mono-channel. I have to twist the cable at a certain angle to get a good sound and usually make a couple of adjustments to keep the cable at that angle. While it sounds good now, it actually creates a lot of noise that is present in the recorded audio (and can be
