I installed them in the front doors of my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. Installation was easy. I chose the wrong speaker. It's important to note that car audio is indeed an imperfect science, and my car is probably the worst for it. These speakers sound OK, but they have too much treble (treble) and hardly anything below 100Hz (no bass). I set up an amp to give them 50 watts each and they didn't get any better. I know that bass can be problematic in cars and that these things need help from the bodywork (ie doors) so I lined all my front doors with a dynamo. This helped make the car quieter, but there was still no bass. I will get another speaker. I'm sure they'll sound decent with a subwoofer, but I also have tweeters in my dash so it just ended up being the wrong speaker. I also had problems with the woofer. I thought I didn't install it properly so I took the door panels off and it was tight. The woofer just couldn't handle the power (although it's rated for a lot more power). I ended up running them at 80Hz through the high frequencies and they sounded good, but I needed something with lower frequencies. I think these are decent speakers for the price but I'm surprised by all the good reviews.
