The wood looks nice but I still don't know how it will look in my son's aquarium. In the last week and a half, I've boiled and soaked it non-stop for several hours 3 times per the instructions that came with it. It's still washing out the color. I don't understand why a product for an aquarium should be like this. If I knew how much it takes to make it workable and safe for his aquarium, I wouldn't have bought it. Edited on September 10, 21:3 weeks. I've cooked this firewood for hours 5 times already. I soaked it continuously when it wasn't cooking. I tried adding baking powder as instructed in the instructions. It still releases color. If I boil or soak it for a few days, the water is as dark as tea. I don't know how many gallons of water or how much natural gas I used to cook, but I'm done. return of this item.
