Firstly, for people who think it looks like a road carpet only thicker it isn't. It looks more like an awning than a rug. But it was perfect for me to restore my deck. So we live in Vancouver Canada, it's very rainy like Seattle and I'm tired of messing with my deck on the floor. I bought and installed it about four years ago and couldn't be happier. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you can feel me: every spring your deck is a moss-covered mess that leaves a stain when there's extra moisture in the wood, and the basement deck fluctuates wildly in moisture under your decks. And this acrylic stain just pops out. (You can use flaxseed, but then the moss and black spot will have to be cleaned thoroughly every spring... Needless to say, this is too much work. (There's a reason many people choose alternatives to lumber. But I not for that much money.😂 ) It was perfect.I basically took a horrible, overly fussy wooden deck and made it look good for the years to come until I change it.Best situation: Pacific Northwest weather is tough on decks , so my next deck will be cheap wood (not cedar) just with this one on top, I will never paint again!See the seam, it's very easy to clean, you can use a bellows to clean it. When it's brand new the water doesn't go through that quickly but it rises quite quickly b even though it's a bit worn at the beginning it has a bit of a shine but it also went away pretty quickly Every spring I wear just top it off with a quick spray to keep the algae under control and refresh the color a bit. Seriously, this is the best DIY I've done for the money it cost, and every spring I got at least a week of my life back!
