Ammonia works
Works like a charm. I have a marine aquarium. I took a liter of water from the aquarium, dropped a 10 gallon tablet (I have a 30 gallon aquarium = 3 tablets), allowed the tablets to completely dissolve. Then I put water back into the tank. The next day I tested zero for ammonia.
