Review on Makermotor Shaft Reversible Electric Motor: Industrial Electrical Powerhouse by Gopal Baltimore

Insufficient torque in electric motors

I was looking for a DC motor that can raise and lower a rack and pinion drill table. After a few emails with Maker Motor and explaining how it would be used, they said it should work. The motor appears to be well built and offers considerable torque, but it failed miserably for my purposes. As the motor shaft turned, it increased from 100 RPM to about 1 RPM using the recommended power source. While I cannot criticize the manufacturer, I can say that their advice was far from accurate.
