Update 09/28/2021 — I found a way to make the impossible possible. I decided to try again and pushed it all the way through the hole in the ceiling. Although it took some trial and error, I was able to visualize part of it from another hole and catch it with the hook. You need to mirror the video from mobile phone to TV for it to work. The bright green was more visible against the dark ceiling. If you just want it straight, I definitely recommend regular duct tape. This tape is not straight or stiff enough and is almost impossible to thread through insulated and joist ceilings. Thrown straight into the trash, no returns. Use good old fish tape instead.
