I don't know if this will be reliable over the long term or not, but in general it's very well designed and has better features than the competitors products. It has an adjustable clutch, which many of the competing product lack. It can be used both in "straight" position or bent for a "gun like" position. The trigger button (backwards or forwards) is duplicated on each side of the device. So regardless of whether you are left or right handed, and are using it straight or as a "gun", you can reach it easily. The handle has a rubberized grip for comfort and so it's easier to hang on to.There's a button on the bottom you can push to get a battery indicator (3 LEDs of different colors) to see if it needs recharged, and while charging this lights up automatically so you know when it's fully charged. This is very, very handy as compared to others I've used when you never can tell whether it's fully charged or not. There's also LED illumination on the driver end (which you can turn on and off with a switch on the bottom of the handle) to help light up your target screw in dark places. So far, it seems to hold charge well and I've used it for quite a while without needing to recharge. It seems to have a decent amount of power, although I haven't yet tried to use it to screw in anything super difficult or to drill any really hard material. But I've been able to easily use it to screw in metal amplifier panels (into a wood cabinet) for quite a few powered speakers where the screws were tight and somewhat difficult to fully screw down by hand. The bit/ tip set that comes with it is pretty complete, although some of the bits are so short that I don't know how useful they would be.*As a note of caution, this isn't one where you just push in the bits and they are held in magnetically. There is a collet and spring mechanism. You pull it out and then can remove or insert a bit, then let it go and it springs into the position to hold the bit. I do have a little concern that this mechanism might loosen up over time and no longer hold the bits securely, but it seems fine for now.My only minor complaints are:- It's a little longer than the last one I had (from another better known brand) so it feel a little bit less balanced to me in the "straight" position, But the extra length might be helpful in some circumstances.- The switch to lock it is a little bit difficult to slide into and out of the lock position. It seems like it is starting to be easier to use after working it back and forth a few times, though.Overall, a good purchase. My last electric screwdriver failed too quickly and never had enough power, so I'm quite happy with this.
