I have always avoided buying non-spandex socks because I broke my left leg in three places many years ago. Since my foot is now WW, it is always difficult to combine socks and shoes. But I'm sick of the cold feet that live in the Northeast. So I tried these. They are amazing! They are "flexible" and fit so well on either foot. They do not itch or sting, but at the same time they are very warm and comfortable. I took the advice of another reviewer here when deleting them. I machine wash them and hang them to dry. Took no time at all and experienced no shrinkage at all. In fact, I'm buying another set for my DIL as stocking fillers for Christmas.
