Fully elastic waistband with drawcord for a custom fit. They come with an ankle cuff so are great for smaller kids so you don't have to tuck yourself in. They are made of 60% cotton and 40% polyester; perfect material to wash and wear. The material is on the thicker side so they feel quite warm. There is no fleece inside, but with thicker cotton they are still warm. The grandson is very sensitive to tags and coarse material. These pants have very thick seams and he doesn't like that they are prickly. But my granddaughter loves them.
