The unit initially worked great until the plastic thread in the hot water tank drain pipe broke and water from the tank spilled underground. I turned off the main water valve but up to 50 gallons of water spilled onto the underground floor. I had to use needle nose pliers to remove the broken threads from the tank drain - this part of the device really should be metal, not plastic.

Absolutely stunning (see video). I used the "Store Vacuum" method before, but it was 80% faster and much more thorough. It's a little messy to remove the water heater tube and insert a tool, but nothing special (I did this without draining the tank as shown in one of the YouTube videos). I cleaned two water heaters. At first I thought this was a brilliant product. It cleaned the sediment as advertised until suddenly in the middle of the process the connector attached to the water heater broke and all the water in the tank spilled onto the floor! I couldn't prevent it because part of that cheap plastic tool was still screwed into the tank! I had to wait for the water to drain before removing it. What a mess it was! I REALLY wanted to like this product because it's a brilliant idea but the performance of the product doesn't even live up to my expectations for a port freight tool. First, the plastic is so thin and of poor quality that the hose connection leaked badly. When I installed it I was afraid it would break in two any second.
