Review on RDX Shin Guards: SATRA Approved Leg Protectors for Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, and Boxing Training & Fighting by Gabriel Rosenberg

I pretty much have to wear shoes or risk crying.

I bought these rubbers for Muay Thai training. Since the gym I work out in doesn't have a soft floor, I almost have to wear shoes or risk tearing the balls of my feet. Most muay thai pads have an instep guard but this system doesn't work as well when wearing shoes, when it works the bottom strap wears out quickly by rubbing with the ground. There are these shin guards. Come in. Suitable for people with athletic legs (read, not chicken legs). Initially I was skeptical about the durability as the whole case is fabric, but after more than a few sessions I can't see any wear and tear. The lining is adequate, not the best I've worn but far from the worst. There is a slight movement with use but that is typical of most of these pads. The biggest issue I had was that the calf pads are flat and I assume they are caved in to match the curvature of my shin pads - most other shin pads are pre-curved. As a first review with limited use, I'm quite satisfied.
