In the fifteen years of owning this 'machine' I have changed this junk GE heater several times. This is the first one I've found where the cheap plastic end terminal bodies actually started to melt when the element was heated. The resulting smell in your fridge (and any spoiled food) is incredible. I'm skeptical about the positive reviews for this product. Photo will be added.----> PHOTOS ADDED <----This part is clearly not designed to withstand the rigors of a heating element. Ceramic terminal housings would never be damaged by these normal heater element temperatures. This product is a fire hazard and should not be made available to consumers.
