Review on πŸŽ’ Eagle Creek Travel Luggage Backpack by Felicia Gonzalez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Small overall good for kids gear or ultra light travel

Summary: Strong initial impression of quality; overall small - plan accordingly; I wish EC would offer more than four colors for color coding. I have just received the EC Pack-It 3 dice set which I ordered at the same time as the Travelwise 3 dice set. The Eagle Creek set is smaller overall which suits me as I plan to use it for my 6 year old's clothes on an upcoming multi-week, multi-stop trip. large format magazine and 3 inches deep. The medium size (9" x 7") is about the size of a small cereal box or slightly larger than a guide book (DK Eyewitness size, not Rick Steves). And the smallest cube (8 x 4 inches) is about the size of a jam box or three iPhones in a row. (Why isn't this sizing info available on the Revain product page? Also, I just noticed that one of the Revain reviews says they have one large cube and two half cubes. In fact, I would have preferred that set.) ETA: Went to the site Eagle Creek, and the items in this set are classified as: Dice, Half Dice, Quarter Dice. The internal seams are well finished and the zips work smoothly (there are double/reversible zips for each pocket so you can open or close at any point of the opening.) Hope to report on the durability and stain resistance of the fabric/mesh after returning from a trip, but so far it seems solid enough. The mesh is the same color as the fabric (compared to the black mesh Travelwise set). I'm glad the cubes didn't have a strong plastic smell when I took them out of the box. For a starter set I like the quality of the items but wish the cube sizes were larger across the board or there were two. the largest size and a small cube (not XS/S/M). Please note that I plan to use this to pack a (general) family suitcase; I might find the current combination just perfect if I tried to travel with a bag for myself. (The largest EC cube is about the same size as the average Travelwise cube.) In the future I may add another cube (the largest in this set) or a double cube, sold separately. And just for the wish list, it would be great if Eagle Creek had other colors available for the Pack-It system besides black, blue, green and red. (I ordered the Travelwise set because EC doesn't offer purple.) When several family members share the same bag, it's nice to be able to color code other travel items we already have. Will try to update when we get back.

Cons
